Civil & Fit-Out Engineer
Location: Banting, Selangor, Malaysia
 
Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading data centre engineering and construction company to hire a Civil & Fit-Out Engineer to support large-scale data centre projects in Banting, Selangor.
 
About the Role
The Challenge
Take ownership of civil and fit-out construction activities across foundations, structures, architectural finishes, renovation, external works, and landscaping while managing quality, schedule, safety, cost, and technical execution.
 
The Opportunity
Work on large-scale data centre projects and collaborate closely with clients, PMC, consultants, contractors, and M&E teams to drive smooth project execution from pre-construction through handover and close-out.

What You Will Do

• Manage civil and fit-out construction activities, including foundations, structures, architectural finishes, renovation, external works, and landscaping.
• Manage site execution, quality, progress, safety, cost, technical issues, and coordination with project stakeholders.
• Review drawings, method statements, technical proposals, material submissions, engineering changes, and related technical documentation.
• Coordinate material procurement, submission, approval, delivery, inspection, and acceptance, while supervising construction quality and concealed works.
• Support inspections, testing, project handover, defect rectification, warranty activities, and project close-out documentation.

Who We Are Looking For
Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma/Associate Degree or above in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant construction experience, preferably in data centre or large-scale industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, decoration, and fit-out construction processes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Willing to be based on-site in Malaysia; experience with Southeast Asian construction requirements is an advantage.

• Excellent coordination, communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work effectively with clients, PMC, consultants, contractors, and M&E teams.
• English or Bahasa Malaysia proficiency is an advantage.
