Mills Recruitment is partnering with a growing company in the semiconductor equipment industry to hire an After-Sales Service Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment) based in Penang, Malaysia. As part of the company’s expansion into Malaysia, this role will support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical servicing of semiconductor manufacturing equipment while working closely with customers to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring semiconductor equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently through installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support activities at customer sites. This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving abilities, and the flexibility to travel frequently to support customer operations.

What You Will Do
- Provide on-site installation, commissioning, and technical support services for semiconductor industry equipment, including routine maintenance activities.
- Analyze equipment faults, perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities, and prepare service reports as required.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment in accordance with company standards.
- Repair or replace damaged or aging electrical and mechanical components while maintaining accurate maintenance records and reporting abnormalities promptly.
- Deliver equipment operation training to customers and ensure compliance with safety procedures and operating standards.
Who We Are Looking For
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree, Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience, including at least 2 years of after-sales/service experience in semiconductor equipment or industrial automation equipment.
- Experience in equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support activities.
- Familiarity with weak-current and strong-current electrical systems, as well as electromechanical automation systems.
- Relevant electrical or mechanical certifications will be an added advantage.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance capabilities.
- Able to analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and prepare technical service reports.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to conduct customer training and provide technical support.
- Strong sense of responsibility, proactive attitude, and ability to work under pressure.
- Outgoing yet mature personality with a customer-focused approach.
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites as required.
