HC Driver (HIAB & Semi Trailer) – Building Products Manufacturer

About the Opportunity Mills Recruitment is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company supplying building products across Western Australia. We are currently seeking an experienced HC Driver with HIAB capability and semi-trailer experience to join their team delivering materials across Perth and regional WA.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, skilled driver looking for a stable, long-term role with temp-to-perm opportunity.
The Role You will be responsible for operating HC trucks (including semi-trailers) and using a HIAB (truck-mounted crane) to deliver building materials (including steel frames) to construction sites.
This role involves both driving and hands-on operation of equipment, requiring strong safety awareness and confidence working in site environments.
The role will also involve regular long-distance deliveries to regional WA, including Karratha and the Pilbara region, with overnight stayovers required as part of the position.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate HC trucks and semi-trailers for deliveries
- Use HIAB crane to load/unload materials on-site
- Deliver building products across Perth and regional WA
- Complete regular long-distance deliveries to Karratha/Pilbara
- Stay overnight in regional locations as required
- Safely handle and place loads in tight or complex site environments
- Ensure deliveries are completed on time and safely
- Maintain vehicles and equipment to high standards
- Communicate with site teams, dispatch, and customers
Requirements
- Valid HC Driver’s Licence (essential)
- HIAB / CV Ticket (essential)
- Proven experience operating semi-trailers (articulated trucks)
- Experience delivering to construction or building sites
- Ability to:
- Hook up trailers (fifth wheel, airlines, electrics)
- Reverse and manoeuvre in tight spaces
- Forklift ticket (desirable)
- Strong safety focus and reliability
- Comfortable completing long-distance regional WA deliveries and overnight trips
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 5:30am – 1:30pm
- Overtime available as required
Pay & Benefits
- Approx. $48.00+ per hour + penalties
- Temporary to Permanent opportunity (after ~3 months)
