Yard Person / Forklift Operator – Canning Vale, WA – ASAP

13 Week Temp to Perm | Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 4:00pm

Mills Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Yard Person / Forklift Operator on behalf of our client, based at their busy factory in Canning Vale.

This is a hands-on, varied role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy yard environment and is happy to support across forklift operation, labouring, housekeeping, and general yard duties to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.

About the Role
You will play a key role in ensuring the yard functions efficiently, assisting with the movement of materials, unloading deliveries, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a forklift (LF licence essential) to move stock and materials around the yard
• Loading and unloading trucks, containers, and deliveries
• Moving pallets and empty bins throughout the yard
• General yard housekeeping, including sweeping and maintaining a tidy work area
• Supporting the movement of incoming and outgoing goods
• General labouring and yard support duties as required
• Working safely and contributing to an efficient yard operation

Requirements

• Current Forklift Licence (LF) – Essential
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, forklift, labouring, or manufacturing environment
• Comfortable carrying out manual handling and housekeeping duties
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Starting pay rate of $31.18 per hour, increasing to $33.38 per hour once VOC (Verification of Competency) is successfully completed
