Job Title: Yard Person / Forklift Operator
Location: Welshpool, WA
Employment Type: Casual – Temporary to Permanent (13 Weeks)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour + Super

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Yard Person / Forklift Operator to join a busy industrial operation based in Welshpool.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation offering ongoing work, excellent training and the potential for permanent employment after 13 weeks.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and store incoming materials and equipment.
• Pick, pack and dispatch orders accurately and efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers and containers safely.
• Safely operate forklifts ranging from 2.5 tonne to 16 tonne.
• Assist with inventory management, stocktakes and cycle counts.
• Drive the company vehicle to complete local deliveries and pickups as directed by the Transport Coordinator.
• Complete required paperwork and basic administrative tasks.
• Report equipment faults, maintenance issues and safety hazards.
• Follow all workplace health, safety and operational procedures.

About You
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

• Previous experience working in a warehouse, logistics, transport or supply base environment.
• Current Forklift Licence (experience operating an Aislemaster forklift is highly desirable).
• Experience handling oversized or specialised materials (desirable).
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Honest, reliable and a team player.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.

Essential Requirements

• Current Forklift Licence.
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
• HR Driver’s Licence (desirable).

Please note:

• During quieter periods, shifts may finish earlier (minimum 4-hour engagement applies).
• During busy periods, overtime may be available.
