About the Role:
As Site Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of residential construction projects, ensuring successful delivery across all stages of the build.
Working closely with the Project Manager, you’ll coordinate subcontractors, manage site programmes, maintain quality standards, and create a safe and productive working environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong organisation, effective communication, and the ability to build positive working relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site resources
- Monitor project timelines and manage site programmes
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
- Uphold quality control throughout all stages of construction
- Promote a positive health and safety culture on site
- Identify and resolve issues proactively to keep projects progressing
What We’re Looking For
- Trade-qualified Carpenter, Foreman, or experienced Site Manager
- Proven experience delivering residential construction projects in New Zealand
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ability to build positive working relationships across all levels
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable using iPads and digital construction management systems
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- Positive attitude with a solutions-focused approach
