Boilermaker/Welders – Malaga | $53/hr + Super | Temp-to-Perm
If you’re a first-class tradesperson who’d rather be building heavy steel from the ground up than chasing repair and shutdown work, this one’s worth a look. We’re looking for two Boilermaker/Welders to join a structural steel fabrication workshop in Malaga, starting ASAP. There’s a clear path to a permanent role after 13 weeks.
Your New Company
Our client runs a fabrication workshop in Malaga focused on heavy-gauge structural steel. It’s genuine workshop fabrication: structural components, platforms, staircases and similar heavy steel structures. They’re after quality tradespeople for the long term, not a quick fill.
Your New Role

• Fabricating heavy-gauge structural steel components in a workshop environment
• Building platforms, staircases and similar heavy steel structures
• MIG/MAG and Flux Core welding to the required standard
• Cutting, fitting and assembling steel ready for welding
• Working from fabrication drawings to produce accurate, quality work
• Following workshop safety procedures at all times

About You
Essential:

• Trade-qualified Boilermaker/Welder with current welding tickets/qualifications
• Strong heavy-gauge fabrication background, ideally with a significant part of your career spent fabricating structural steel in a workshop
• Strong MIG/MAG and Flux Core welding skills
• Able to start ASAP
• Based in Perth and able to get to Malaga

Highly regarded:

• Experience fabricating platforms, staircases and structural components

What’s On Offer

• $53.00 per hour flat rate plus super for the standard 10-hour, Monday–Friday shift
• Penalty rates for hours outside the agreed weekday roster and for applicable weekend work
• Monday–Friday, 6:00am–4:00pm while on temp
• Temp-to-perm after 13 weeks
• Once permanent, the roster rotates 2 weeks on days (6:00am–4:00pm) and 2 weeks on afternoons (4:00pm–2:00am)
• A long-term opportunity in a heavy fabrication workshop
