Trades Assistant / Labourer
Mills Recruitment is seeking a reliable and motivated Trades Assistant / Labourer to join our client, a local government organisation in the Eastern suburbs of Perth. This role offers an immediate start, full-time hours, and the potential for permanent employment.
About the Role
- Immediate start
- Full-time, 38 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm (½ hour lunch break)
- Pay rate: $40 – $43.75 per hour (plus penalties)
- Ongoing position with potential to become permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Heavy Duty Mechanic with fuelling, greasing, servicing, and repairs of plant and equipment
- Cleaning down machinery as required
- Supporting general workshop and labouring tasks as directed
Selection Criteria
- Previous mechanical experience (essential)
- Pump experience (desirable)
- Nationally accredited Forklift ticket (required)
- Current HR Licence (minimum requirement)
- Police clearance (essential)
- Capable of repetitive manual handling (lifting up to 15kg)
- No public transport or nearby lunch outlets available
