An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join a major brownfield infrastructure project in the Pilbara. This is a site-based role supporting the engineering completion, commissioning readiness, and project delivery of a new industrial facility and associated infrastructure.
Working closely with project, construction, and commissioning teams, you will provide practical electrical engineering support to ensure successful project execution in a live operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site electrical engineering support during the final stages of project delivery.
- Review, resolve and manage electrical design and technical queries.
- Interface with construction, commissioning and operations stakeholders.
- Support engineering completions, defect resolution and project close-out activities.
- Ensure compliance with client standards, statutory requirements and industry best practice.
- Assist with technical reviews, documentation updates and field verification activities.
- Identify and manage technical risks and provide practical engineering solutions.
About You
- Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience in electrical engineering within mining, minerals processing, heavy industrial or resources projects.
- Strong electrical design background with exposure to site-based project delivery.
- Experience supporting construction, commissioning or engineering completion phases of projects.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and solve problems in a fast-paced site environment.
- Working knowledge of major mining client electrical standards and requirements.
Desirable Experience
- Brownfield project experience.
- Exposure to bulk materials handling, processing plants, infrastructure or port facilities.
- Previous FIFO site-based engineering experience.
