About the Client
Our client is a well-established engineering and project delivery organisation with a strong track record in delivering mineral processing and mining infrastructure projects. They are recognised for their technical capability and long-term relationships with Tier 1 mining clients across Australia.
The Role
The Senior Piping Engineer will play a key role in the engineering and delivery of piping and hydraulic systems for mineral processing plants and mine site water infrastructure. Working closely with Lead and Principal Engineers, you will take ownership of design packages, provide technical input, and ensure compliance with project and client standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver piping and hydraulic design for mineral processing and mine site water systems
- Develop layouts, material specifications, and system calculations
- Produce and review P&IDs, piping layouts, and isometric drawings
- Perform hydraulic modelling using tools such as FluidFlow and/or WaterGEMS
- Ensure designs comply with project requirements, client standards, and applicable codes
- Interface with other engineering disciplines to support integrated design outcomes
- Support reviews of vendor documentation and technical queries
- Assist with constructability reviews and occasional site visits
About You
- Degree qualified in Mechanical, Piping, or related engineering discipline
- 5–7+ years’ experience in piping engineering within mining or heavy industrial projects
- Demonstrated experience in hydraulic design and mine site water infrastructure
- Experience with FluidFlow and/or WaterGEMS preferred
- Familiarity with Tier 1 mining client standards highly regarded
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within project teams
