Recruitment Consultant (360) – Shanghai | Build the desk, then lead the China business

Most 360 roles give you a desk to maintain. This one asks you to build one. Mills Recruitment is growing its China practice from Shanghai. We’re looking for a consultant who can win clients, place strong people and step up to lead our China business as it grows.

English is our primary language for internal communication across the business.

The role

• Build and own client relationships across manufacturing, energy, infrastructure and IT/AI
• Run full-cycle 360 recruitment for blue- and white-collar roles
• Advise clients on talent, market trends and hiring strategy, not just fill vacancies
• Grow a strong candidate network across Shanghai and the wider APAC region
• Find and convert new business opportunities
• Work with our teams in Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia on cross-border hiring

About you
Must-haves:

• Proven 360 recruitment experience and a billing track record you can walk us through
• Solid knowledge of the Shanghai/China market and how it connects to wider APAC recruitment
• Fluent Mandarin, and business-level English you’re comfortable using every day with the wider team and clients
• The confidence to manage existing accounts and the drive to win new ones
• A clear goal to lead, from day one

Nice to have:

• Sector experience in manufacturing, energy, infrastructure or IT/AI
