The company designs and manufactures modular infrastructure used across the mining, energy and industrial sectors, with a solid pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering quality projects.
This role will see you working closely with the engineering, drafting and manufacturing teams to design steel structures that are practical, compliant and ready for fabrication.
What you’ll be doing
- Structural design of steel-framed buildings and modular structures
- Completing engineering calculations and design checks
- Reviewing drawings and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards
- Working with drafting and production teams to develop practical, buildable designs
- Providing technical support during fabrication and project delivery
- Identifying opportunities to improve designs and standardise where appropriate
What we’re looking for
- Degree qualified Structural or Civil Engineer
- Around 5+ years’ experience designing structural steel
- Strong understanding of AS4100 and AS/NZS 1170
- Experience completing structural calculations and reviewing drawings
- A practical approach to engineering and an understanding of how designs are fabricated and assembled
Experience with modular buildings, mining, industrial or manufacturing projects would be an advantage but isn’t essential.
Why this role? This isn’t a consultancy role where your involvement ends once the drawings are issued. You’ll work alongside the people building what you design, giving you the opportunity to see projects through from design to completion.
It’s a genuine opportunity to join a stable business, work on interesting projects and be part of a collaborative engineering team.
