Our client is an international automotive components business supplying both the aftermarket and original equipment (OE) markets across Australia and New Zealand. Backed by a global group, the Australian business runs a lean, close-knit team, so this role has genuine ownership and a direct line to the people making decisions. You’ll be the go-to supply chain contact for the local business, with the backing of an established global operation.
Reporting to the Supply Planning Manager and working closely with the Business Head ANZ, you’ll run the day-to-day supply chain for the Australian aftermarket and OE business. You’ll keep orders on time and inventory accurate, and you’ll keep improving how the operation serves its customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining regional replenishment plans using sales forecasts, historical demand and current stock levels
- Monitoring stockouts, excess inventory and stock turns, and coordinating adjustments with Sales, Procurement and suppliers
- Managing the end-to-end order process, from confirmation through to delivery, and resolving delays, shortages and returns
- Coordinating inbound and outbound freight, distribution and carriers, and keeping an eye on lead times, cost and service quality
- Overseeing the 3PL warehouse partner across receiving, storage, picking, dispatch, cycle counts and inventory accuracy
- Driving process improvements that make the operation safer, more compliant and more efficient
- Providing regular supply chain reporting, and acting as the primary supply chain contact for Sales, Finance, Procurement and external providers
This is a work-from-home role based in Melbourne. The start date is negotiable, with the client hoping to have someone on board before Christmas.
