Mills Recruitment is partnering with a global data management and storage solutions company to hire an Experienced Accounting Manager (US). This is a Malaysia-based hybrid role in Petaling Jaya (3 days in office, 2 days WFH), with flexibility to work across US time zones. The role focuses on leading US consolidated accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving process improvements in a fast-paced global environment.

About the Role
The Challenge:
Lead the US consolidated accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and timely month-end close while managing a global team.

Work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes, support audits, and drive ERP optimization initiatives using Microsoft Dynamics 365.

What You Will Do

• Lead and manage the month-end close process for US consolidated corporate accounts
• Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Prepare financial reports including Balance Sheet and P&L analysis for senior leadership
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP/IFRS and maintain strong internal controls
• Drive process improvements and support ERP optimization initiatives (D365)

Who We Are Looking For
Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years of accounting experience including US exposure with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge and practical experience in IFRS is required; exposure to US GAAP is preferred.
• Experience in Big 4 or regional accounting firms is preferred
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and ERP systems (D365 preferred)
