Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading data center construction and engineering company to hire a Project Manager (MEP Projects) based in KVTP Project, Kapar, Selangor, Malaysia, supporting large-scale data center MEP project delivery across Southeast Asia.
 
About the Role
The Challenge
Take ownership of end-to-end MEP project delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality and client requirements.
 
The Opportunity
Lead large-scale data center MEP projects from bidding through commissioning while working closely with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project teams to deliver mission-critical facilities.

What You Will Do

• Manage the full lifecycle of data center MEP projects, including bidding support, detailed design, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, testing, handover, and customer acceptance.
• Coordinate equipment procurement, material delivery, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Manage project cost, schedule, quality, EHS, documentation, and compliance requirements while achieving project objectives.
• Resolve technical, supplier, and on-site coordination issues to maintain project progress and quality.
• Lead, train, and manage project teams while driving continuous improvement through regular project reviews and performance evaluations.

Who We Are Looking For Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or above in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing MEP projects within data center environments or related projects.
• Familiarity with critical data center systems, including diesel generators, UPS, chillers, and related MEP infrastructure.
• Experience managing project cost, schedule, EHS, quality, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.
• Overseas project experience will be an advantage.

Skills and Attributes:

• Strong technical knowledge of data center MEP systems and project delivery.
• Excellent leadership, project planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and English is essential to effectively communicate with project stakeholders, suppliers, clients, and counterparts.
• Responsible, proactive, and willing to travel for overseas project assignments as required.
