About Our Client
Our client is an established agricultural spraying and farming operation based in Mid Canterbury, providing professional spraying services across local cropping and pastoral properties. Alongside the spraying operation, they also run a sheep operation, creating an opportunity for some variety in the role.

They are looking for an experienced Sprayer Operator for approximately 3–4 months of work, with an immediate start available.

About the Role
You’ll be responsible for operating agricultural spraying equipment across a range of crop and pasture applications.
Your work will include:

• Operating modern agricultural boom sprayers
• Spraying crops, pasture and agricultural land
• Accurate application of herbicides, fungicides and other agricultural products
• Using GPS guidance, auto-steer and precision spraying technology
• Working to tight seasonal and weather-dependent timeframes
• Completing daily machinery checks and ensuring equipment is maintained to a high standard
• Following all chemical handling, application and safety procedures
• Keeping accurate records of spraying work and products used
• Potentially assisting with slug baiting and fertiliser application
• Working across a range of farms and agricultural properties throughout Mid Canterbury

Variety Beyond Spraying
Our client also operates a sheep farming operation, so there may be the opportunity to assist with a small amount of livestock and general farm work.

This is ideal for someone who enjoys a bit of variety and is happy to get involved where needed.

About You
This is an experienced Sprayer Operator position, so previous spraying experience is essential.
You’ll need:

• Proven agricultural spraying experience
• Experience operating a commercial agricultural sprayer
• A strong understanding of safe and accurate chemical application
• Excellent machinery operating skills and attention to detail
• Good spatial awareness and precision
• A strong focus on safety and compliance
• Ability to work independently and manage jobs efficiently
• A reliable, hardworking attitude
• References confirming your previous spraying experience

Experience with GPS, auto-steer and precision spraying systems will be highly regarded.
