- Design slurry pumping systems, including fluid network analysis and pump sizing calculations.
- Prepare and review equipment specifications for tanks, pumps, hoppers and materials handling equipment.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
- Support project estimating, scheduling and resource planning activities.
- Interpret and apply relevant industry codes, standards and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with project stakeholders and client representatives to resolve technical issues and obtain approvals.
- Participate in engineering reviews, studies and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Approximately 10+ years’ experience in mining, minerals processing or heavy industrial projects.
- Demonstrated experience on copper concentrator projects.
- Strong background in slurry pumping systems, fluid network modelling and pump sizing calculations.
- Experience designing and specifying tanks, pumps, hoppers and bulk materials handling equipment.
- Sound understanding of mining process plant design, construction and commissioning considerations.
- Strong knowledge of relevant Australian and international engineering standards.
