This role would suit a mature, experienced quality professional with strong EPC/EPCM project experience, ideally within smelting, mining, chemical processing, or minerals processing environments.
Reporting directly to the Quality Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing quality requirements across suppliers, procurement, fabrication, inspection, documentation, surveillance, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing quality activities across EPC/EPCM projects within the mining and minerals processing sector
• Overseeing supplier quality, procurement surveillance, inspections, and fabrication quality requirements
• Reviewing and managing QA/QC documentation, technical records, reports, schedules, and quality deliverables
• Supporting risk management, supplier performance, and project quality compliance
• Assessing the suitability of design, construction quality, commissioning readiness, and operational requirements
• Ensuring compliance with relevant Australian and international codes, standards, and project specifications
• Liaising with internal project teams, suppliers, contractors, and client representatives
• Managing conflicting priorities while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, schedule, and reporting outcomes
• Supporting continuous improvement across quality processes and project delivery

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar Quality Manager, Quality Coordinator, or QA/QC role
• Experience working on EPC or EPCM projects within minerals processing, mining, smelting, chemical processing, or similar heavy industrial environments
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, quality management systems, and project quality deliverables
• Sound knowledge of Australian and international codes and standards, including welding and ASME standards
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 requirements
• Experience with fabrication methods, supplier surveillance, inspections, and quality documentation
• Engineering knowledge to assess design suitability, construction quality, commissioning, and operational readiness
• Strong understanding of construction principles, job site practices, technical records, safety, and project planning
• Advanced computer skills, particularly across MS Office and engineering/project systems
• Excellent time management, attention to detail, and reporting capability
• A tenacious, goal-oriented approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
