Yard Person / Forklift Operator – Canning Vale, WA – ASAP
13 Week Temp to Perm | Monday – Friday | 8:00am – 4:00pm
Mills Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Yard Person / Forklift Operator on behalf of our client, based at their busy factory in Canning Vale.
This is a hands-on, varied role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy yard environment and is happy to support across forklift operation, labouring, housekeeping, and general yard duties to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.
About the Role
You will play a key role in ensuring the yard functions efficiently, assisting with the movement of materials, unloading deliveries, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a forklift (LF licence essential) to move stock and materials around the yard
- Loading and unloading trucks, containers, and deliveries
- Moving pallets and empty bins throughout the yard
- General yard housekeeping, including sweeping and maintaining a tidy work area
- Supporting the movement of incoming and outgoing goods
- General labouring and yard support duties as required
- Working safely and contributing to an efficient yard operation
Requirements
- Current Forklift Licence (LF) – Essential
- Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, forklift, labouring, or manufacturing environment
- Comfortable carrying out manual handling and housekeeping duties
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Starting pay rate of $33.05 per hour, increasing to $34.96 per hour once VOC (Verification of Competency) is successfully completed
