Steel Bay Driver (Forklift Operator)
We are seeking an experienced Steel Bay Driver (Forklift Operator) for an immediate start at a busy and well-organised manufacturing facility based in Myaree. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to move into permanent employment for the right candidate.
You’ll play a key role in the production process, ensuring steel products are safely moved, loaded, and positioned for assembly and dispatch within a fast-paced workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operating a forklift to move steel frames and components
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Organising and maintaining steel bays and storage areas
- Supporting production and logistics teams
- Adhering to all safety and quality procedures
Shifts Available
Morning Shift
- Monday to Friday | 5:30 am – 1:30 pm
- Pay rate:
- $31.18 per hour + super
- Increase to $33.38 per hour + super once VOC is achieved
Afternoon Shift
- Monday to Friday | 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
- Pay rate:
- $35.87 per hour + super
- Increase to $38.38 per hour + super once VOC is achieved
Night Shift
- Monday to Friday | 10:00 pm – 06:00 am
- Pay rate:
- $40.55 per hour + super
- Increase to $43.39 per hour + super once VOC is achieved
What We’re Looking For
- Current LF Forklift Licence
- Previous forklift experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
- Physically fit and safety-focused
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or NZ Citizen
