MC Driver / All Round Operator (Mining & Civil) Christmas Island | FIFO from Perth | $60/hr | 6:2 Roster | Immediate Start
We are currently seeking experienced MC Drivers / All Round Operators to join a well-established open pit mining and rehabilitation project on Christmas Island.
This is a great opportunity for operators who are confident across multiple machines and enjoy working in a hands-on, small crew environment.
What’s on Offer
- $60.00 per hour (flat rate)
- $50/day LAFHA
- 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off roster
- Flights from Perth covered
- 6 hours paid travel time each way
- 60+ hours per week
- Accommodation provided (own room with ensuite)
- Ongoing work (approx. 6 months, weather dependent)
The Role
- Open pit mining and rehabilitation works
- MC driving (side tipper road trains)
- Operating multiple machines across site
- Working as a true all-rounder in a small, high-performing team
- Strong focus on safety, productivity, and teamwork
Equipment You’ll Be Working On Preferred to hold tickets and have experience operating some or all of the below:
- 30T Excavator
- D9 Dozer
- Moxy
- 980 Loader
- Road Train (side tipping trailers)
- Watercart
- Vibrating Roller
What We’re Looking For
- Current MC Licence (essential)
- Proven multi-machine operating experience
- Experience in mining, civil, or bulk haulage environments
- Ability to work independently in a remote FIFO setting
- Strong safety mindset — no training provided on site
