As their project portfolio continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong Finite Element Analysis (FEA) capability to join their Perth team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex engineering challenges involving heavy mechanical equipment used across major mining operations worldwide.
About the Role
You will be responsible for undertaking detailed engineering analysis and supporting the design, optimisation and verification of heavy mechanical equipment and fabricated steel structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on heavy mechanical equipment and fabricated structures.
- Conduct structural integrity assessments and engineering calculations.
- Support equipment design, optimisation and product improvement initiatives.
- Prepare engineering reports, calculations and technical documentation.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian and international engineering standards.
About You
You will ideally possess:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience within mining, minerals processing, heavy industry or bulk materials handling.
- Strong experience using SAP2000, SPACE GASS, or comparable FEA software.
- Experience analysing fabricated steel structures and heavy mechanical equipment.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative approach and a passion for engineering excellence.
