The project has completed the bulk of its civils and structures work and is now moving into SMP and E&I. Procurement is largely wrapped up, so this sits firmly in the contract management and delivery phase — assessing, valuing and managing change through to close-out.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assessing, measuring and valuing variations and change across the project’s delivery phase
- Preparing and substantiating cost assessments, and progressing change through to resolution
- Working within the project’s established commercial systems and processes
- Supporting contract management and delivery as the project transitions from civils and structures into SMP and E&I
- Liaising with delivery, engineering and commercial teams to keep change moving
What You’ll Bring
- Senior Quantity Surveying experience on major construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong background in the valuation and management of change and variations
- Solid measurement, quantification and cost assessment skills — you can substantiate a number and defend it
- A genuinely process-oriented approach — this project runs bespoke project management systems, and people who work methodically within a defined process do well here
- SMP and E&I exposure is an advantage
- Availability to start immediately or at short notice
Location & Working Arrangements. This is a site-based role in Perth’s northern suburbs, and that’s a firm requirement.
- Full-time on site is strongly preferred
- The most flexibility available is 3 days site, 1 day CBD, 1 day working from home
- Maximum 1 day per week working from home
- Full-time CBD-based arrangements will not be considered
Getting there: the site is around 45km north of the Perth CBD, with on-site parking available. If you’d rather not drive, it’s roughly 45 minutes by train from Perth, and the project runs a scheduled shuttle bus between the nearest station and site.
There is potential for a small site uplift on the rate.
