About the role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their Business Advisory team in their Busselton Office to join a strong team in managing a client base across various industries.
This role requires a forward thinking and ambitious professional who communicates well with people and uses their technical knowledge for the benefit of a diverse client base.
This is a leadership role where you’ll assist in managing team members, deliver exceptional client service, and contribute to the growth of the local office.
You’ll work closely with partners and clients across diverse industries, providing strategic advice, preparing financial statements, and overseeing tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the management and development of a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive culture.
- Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
- Provide strategic business advisory services and practical solutions to clients.
- Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities for growth.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax legislation.
About you:
You must have the ability to think strategically so as to contribute to the development of businesses in the Busselton / Margaret River area. You will be supported by a group of like-minded professionals of various skill levels and hence the ability to work well in a team is very important.
- CA/CPA qualified (or near completion), with experience in business advisory and mentoring junior staff.
- Strong technical knowledge, communication skills, and a proactive approach.
- Ability to work autonomously and lead others effectively.
- Experience working with clients directly and responding to requests and requirements.
- High attention to details is highly desirable.
