A well-established Perth law firm is looking for an experienced legal secretary to join its property team. This is a permanent role suited to someone who already knows conveyancing work and wants a stable team where they can keep building on that.

The role
You’ll support a busy property team, handling the full run of secretarial and file support work: preparing and settling contracts, managing settlements, liaising with banks and agents, and keeping files organised and up to date. You’ll work closely with the fee earners on file management and deadlines, and you’ll be a key point of contact for clients calling in with questions on where things are at.

What you’ll bring

• Experience as a legal secretary, preferably in property or conveyancing
• Confident with settlement processes and the paperwork that goes with them
• PABX/document management system skills (PEXA experience is a bonus)
• Accurate typing and attention to detail, particularly with contracts and correspondence
• A calm, organised approach when juggling multiple files and deadlines
• Good communication skills, since you’ll be speaking with clients, agents and financial institutions regularly
