A leading gold-copper mine in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Warehouse Person to join our site-based supply chain team. This is a 3 month casual role on an 8:6 FIFO roster (Thursday to Thursday) from Perth, with flights, accommodation and meals provided.
You’ll be joining a stable, well-resourced underground operation with long mine life, ongoing investment in plant and exploration, and a strong safety culture.
About the role
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the site warehouse, ensuring operations and maintenance teams have the parts and consumables they need, when they need them. Key responsibilities include:
- Receipting, inspecting and put-away of incoming goods against purchase orders
- Picking, packing and issuing stock to work orders for underground, surface and processing crews
- Cycle counting, stock takes and maintaining inventory accuracy
- Dispatch of outgoing freight, returns and warranty items
- Loading and unloading trucks using forklift and overhead crane
- Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised warehouse and laydown yard
- Liaising with procurement, maintenance planners and site supervisors
- Adherence to site safety standards, including JHAs, Take 5s and housekeeping
About you
Essential:
- Current forklift licence (LF)
- Previous warehousing experience in a heavy industrial environment
- Strong computer literacy and attention to detail
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screen
- Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong safety focus and a team-first attitude
Highly regarded:
- Previous FIFO experience on a mine site
- Experience using Pronto ERP
- WA HR driver’s license
- Dogging, overhead crane, Working at Heights or Confined Space tickets
