Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading data center construction and engineering company to hire a Safety Officer (Greenbook/Yellowbook) based at the KVTP Project, Kapar, Selangor, Malaysia, supporting the delivery of large-scale data center construction projects.

Play a key role in maintaining a safe and compliant construction environment by supporting the implementation of EHS policies, conducting site inspections, monitoring work activities, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout project execution.

What You Will Do

• Support the implementation and enforcement of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across construction activities.
• Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project requirements.
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure safe work practices and adherence to site safety standards.
• Investigate incidents, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and maintain accurate safety records and reports.
• Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training to promote a strong safety culture across the project site.

Who We Are Looking For
Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in construction, MEP, EPC, industrial, infrastructure, or data center projects.
• Green Book (Registered Safety & Health Officer) or Yellow Book certification is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Malaysian occupational safety regulations, risk assessments, permit-to-work systems, and contractor safety management.
• Experience conducting site inspections, incident investigations, and safety audits.

Skills and Attributes

• Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices and HSE compliance.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work closely with contractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.
