We are working with a reputable electrical infrastructure provider to recruit a qualified Line Mechanic to join their team in Cromwell. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-performing crew delivering essential network services across Central Otago.
This role combines hands-on fieldwork with strong customer interaction, safety leadership, and a commitment to high-quality delivery.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality work that meets customer specifications and industry standards
• Maintain a professional image in all interactions with customers and the public
• Honour scheduled appointments and communicate proactively around any delays
• Take a customer-focused approach, recognising the importance of strong relationships
• Support business growth through excellent service and identifying opportunities
• Liaise and coordinate effectively with external contractors (builders, plumbers, etc.)

Health & Safety

• Comply fully with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and company safety systems
• Maintain a strong understanding of H&S policies and procedures
• Actively engage with team members on risks and mitigation strategies
• Promote continuous improvement in safety, quality, and environmental practices
• Be proactive, approachable, and safety-focused at all times

About You:

• Current NZ registration as a Line Mechanic
• Full, clean NZ Driver’s Licence (Class 2 advantageous)
• Experience operating plant and equipment (e.g. cranes, diggers, Hiab, forklift)
• Strong team player with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively
• Self-motivated with a high level of integrity and accountability
• Demonstrates initiative, reliability, and a strong work ethic
• Able to follow direction while also working independently
• Adaptable and open to change, with a continuous improvement mindset
• Takes pride in delivering quality work and meeting deadlines
• Communicates effectively and contributes positively to team performance
