Permanent Package After 13 Weeks Upon successful completion of the initial assignment through Mills Recruitment, you’ll transition directly to our client and receive:
- $170,000 – $180,000 annual salary
- $10,000 sign-on bonus
- $5,000 after 6 months
- Additional $5,000 after 12 months
- Annual performance bonus opportunities

The Role Working within the Mobile Maintenance team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a large fleet of heavy mobile mining equipment.
Key duties include:
- Breakdown diagnosis and fault finding
- Planned and preventative maintenance
- Mechanical repairs and component change-outs
- Equipment inspections and servicing
- Maintaining equipment reliability and availability
- Working safely within a busy mining maintenance environment
- Collaborating closely with supervisors and fellow tradespeople
What You’ll Need: We’re looking for experienced mechanics who enjoy diagnosing faults and solving problems, not just carrying out routine servicing.
Ideally you’ll have:
- Heavy Diesel, Mobile Plant or equivalent trade qualification
- Minimum 2 years post-trade experience
- Experience on heavy machinery, mining equipment, earthmoving equipment or similar
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Current driver’s licence
- Strong commitment to safety
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
