Senior Structural Engineer

We’re working with a well-established Australian engineering and manufacturing business delivering high-quality modular switchroom solutions across mining, energy and infrastructure sectors.
Due to continued growth, they’re looking to bring on a Senior Structural Engineer to support the design and delivery of steel structures within a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
The Role
This is a hands-on role focused on the design of steel structures for modular switchrooms, working closely with internal design, project delivery and production teams.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Structural design and engineering calculations for steel structures
- Reviewing and checking drawings for accuracy and compliance
- Interpreting architectural and engineering requirements into practical designs
- Supporting fabrication and construction teams with buildable solutions
- Driving improvements in design efficiency, standardisation and modularisation
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors
About You
- Degree qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering
- ~5-10 years’ experience in steel structural design
- Strong working knowledge of AS4100 and AS/NZS 1170
- Experience producing calculations, sketches and reviewing drawings
- Practical mindset with a focus on constructability and efficiency
- Comfortable working closely with fabrication or manufacturing teams
Exposure to modular design, switchrooms, or industrial infrastructure will be highly regarded.
