Mills Recruitment is partnering with a growing boutique professional services firm to hire an Accounting & Finance Manager based in Bandar Sri Damansara, Kuala Lumpur. This role offers the opportunity to oversee the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions while working closely with management in a hands-on SME environment.
 
About the Role
The Challenge
Lead end-to-end accounting and finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, effective cash flow management, and strong financial controls while managing a small finance team.

Play a key role in supporting business growth by partnering with management on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives.

What You Will Do

• Manage the full set of accounts, including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, and month-end/year-end close
• Prepare management reports, financial analysis, and performance insights
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with MFRS, tax regulations, statutory requirements, and external audits
• Supervise and develop a small accounting team while driving process improvements

Who We Are Looking For
Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is an advantage
• 5-8 years of accounting or finance experience with hands-on full set accounting exposure
• 2-3 years of supervisory or managerial experience
• Prior experience working within an SME environment is preferred
• Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin would be an advantage.

Skills and Attributes

• Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations
• Hands-on experience with accounting software or ERP systems
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
• Effective communication and people management skills
