Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading data center construction and engineering company to hire a Safety Manager based in Kempas Technology Park (KTP), Johor Bahru, Johor, supporting large-scale infrastructure and mission-critical projects.
 
About the Role
The Challenge
Lead project-wide Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives across active construction environments, ensuring compliance, risk mitigation, and a strong safety culture throughout project delivery.

Play a key role in driving EHS excellence on complex construction projects, working closely with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to maintain the highest safety standards.

What You Will Do

• Lead the implementation and operation of EHS management systems across assigned project sites.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and corrective action tracking.
• Oversee high-risk activities including lifting operations, hot work, confined space entry, work at height, and LOTO procedures.
• Manage subcontractor EHS performance, safety training programs, toolbox talks, and compliance initiatives.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities, and local EHS teams while supporting incident investigations and EHS reporting.

Who We Are Looking For
Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of EHS management experience within construction, M&E, or industrial projects.
• Experience in large-scale projects; data center project experience will be highly preferred
• Familiarity with international EHS management systems and construction safety standards.
• NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent international safety certifications are preferred.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin is essential to effectively communicate with project stakeholders and counterparts.
