Mills Recruitment is partnering with a leading data center construction and engineering company to hire a Deputy Installation Manager (Electrical & M&E Projects) based in NTP Project, Gelang Patah, Johor, Malaysia, supporting diesel generator and electrical installation projects.
 
About the Role
The Challenge
Take a key leadership role in managing installation activities, manpower, materials, and project execution while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
 
The Opportunity
Work on large-scale construction projects where you’ll collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to drive successful project delivery from installation through commissioning.

What You Will Do

• Lead and supervise electromechanical installation works while managing construction manpower, materials, inventory, and site resources.
• Support daily site operations, including construction progress, safety, quality control, project reporting, and coordination with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Monitor installation activities and provide technical solutions and troubleshooting support for construction and installation issues.
• Support project inspections, verification, testing, commissioning, acceptance, and settlement activities.
• Conduct training and provide guidance to site supervisors, team leaders, and workers on construction methods, safety practices, and quality standards.

Who We Are Looking For
Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate Degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Engineering Management, or a related field.
• Experience in project management and leading electromechanical installation projects.
• Familiarity with diesel generator installation, electrical systems, and construction site management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering drafting software such as AutoCAD.
• Experience in industrial, infrastructure, power, or data center projects will be an advantage.

Skills and Attributes:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Strong leadership and workforce management capabilities.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and basic English is essential to effectively communicate with project stakeholders and counterparts.
• Hardworking, responsible, resilient, and willing to travel for long-term project assignments.
