What the role involves:
- Operating a range of excavators from 5T through to 20T on active civil construction sites
- Supporting the wider team with manual labour, including shoveling, raking, spotting and general site tasks
- Working closely with experienced operators, site managers, and labourers to ensure the project progresses safely and efficiently
- Following site safety procedures and contributing to a positive team culture
- Assisting with basic machine checks and maintaining equipment to a high standard
What we’re looking for:
- Confident, proven excavator operating skills and you know how to work efficiently and safely
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to dig clean, accurate, and tidy trenches and holes
- Someone fit, reliable, and proactive, who isn’t afraid to jump out of the machine and help on the ground when needed
- A team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Valid WTR endorsements and site experience (bonus if you have Class 2 or additional tickets)
- Ability to start early April and commit to ongoing work
